The Lived Experiences Of Sexuality & Disability: Self Advocate Panel

Bradley Schneider is a self-advocate who was born in Lloydminster, and lives in Regina, Saskatchewan. He moved to Regina at a young age but has received support from Creative Options Regina (COR) since 2021. Brad describes himself as a “friendly, cool dude” who is passionate about helping others. He is also a talented artist who creates beautiful drawings and paintings that he sells for others to enjoy.

Brad believes that all people deserve equal access to sexual health education and that sexuality is simply a part of life. He has been involved in discussions about disability and sexuality for several years, and his great sense of humour and quick wit are sure to keep you on your toes with a smile.

Program Description

Join self-advocates Brad and Heather as they discuss their lived experiences relating to disability, sexual health, dating, relationships, education, rights, and much more. These riveting discussions will leave you with a new perspective on sexuality and disability, as told by community members. Listening to, consulting with, and hearing from people with disabilities is essential as they are the true experts on disability, and learning about their first-hand experiences is invaluable. The self-advocate panel will be hosted by Natalya Mason, and promises to be a highlight of the Gentle Teaching International Conference – you will not want to miss this!
